Your free week and your plan

Every new journal starts with 7 days free, with no card, including three paintings. After that, Journal costs $19.99 a month, billed by Stripe at the start of each month of service. You can cancel anytime from Settings; your plan stays active until the end of the month you paid for, and you are not charged again. We do not refund partial months, but if something went wrong, write to us and we will make it right.

Fair use

Your plan includes a painting of each day you write (and one repaint a day) and up to two live conversations a day of ten minutes each. These limits keep Journal running well for everyone; they are generous for everyday journaling.

Your words

What you write and say is yours. We use it only to run your journal: to reply, remember and paint. See the privacy page for exactly who helps and how. You can download or delete everything at any time.

Being kind

Do not use Journal to harm others, to break the law, or to try to break the service. The companion is not a therapist, doctor or emergency service; if you are in danger, contact local emergency services.

The fine print

Journal is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you before it applies.
